To reduce expenses and use resources wisely, we are asking individuals and families wanting devotional guides to sign up for the books. To receive a “Reflections” or “Open Windows” Devotional Guide for the winter months, please sign-up today by clicking on the link below. You can also contact Teena in the church office at 843-524-3197 to “subscribe” for a devotional. If you are willing to help offset the cost for the devotionals, then please send $5.00 to the church office and note “devotional” on the memo line of your check. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we continue to do our best to manage church resources. These devotionals are for the winter season, but we need to place our order soon so sign up today! Thank you!

October 28 // 6PM
Fall is in the air, and our Fall Festival Celebration will take place on Wednesday, October 28, from 6:00 until 7:00 pm! Our celebration will look a little different this year. To maintain social distancing and provide a safe Fall Celebration for our children, we have decided that filling the parking lot with cars for “Truck or Treat” will keep our annual celebration alive and still provide safety for our children and adults. We need your help! We need 30 cars appropriately decorated and filled with appropriate candies for our children.
“Trunk or Treat” will be held in a roped-off area of the paved church parking lot. Those participating will be assigned a parking space to set up. Please have your vehicle in place by 5:30 pm and ready to receive children at 6:00 pm. Your car trunk or truck bed should be decorated and have prizes or individually wrapped candy to give out.
Please sign-up to provide your vehicle by clicking the link below. Or call Ms. Kelly at 843-991-5355 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your spot. We are counting on you to make this unusual time a little more normal for our children. Please help!
We are also receiving individually wrapped candy donations through Monday, October 26. Drop candy donations off at the church office or in the labeled bins before worship on Sunday. Please contact Ms. Kelly if you have questions or need additional information.
Beaufort County School District has chosen to begin this new school year with virtual learning until the number of COVID cases in Beaufort County declines to the point administrators feel confident in children returning to classrooms. As a way to relieve the stress and burdens for parents and families, BCOB will open facilities and provide a safe environment for children to complete their schoolwork each day. However, we need volunteers to make this happen!
Volunteers are needed to help monitor the students entrusted to our care each day. Volunteers will not be expected to teach the children. We hope for volunteers willing to commit the same day once each week from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm. We do have flexibility, so even if you cannot commit to one day each week, then please consider helping in other ways. Call Mrs. Kelly for additional information and details. If you have a big heart, love for children, and are willing to help, then please contact Kelly Zytynski immediately at 843-524-3197, 843-991-5355, or email@example.com. Thank you!
Wednesdays // 6PM
Every Wednesday there will be opportunities for preschool, children, youth, and adults each week. Preschoolers and children should be escorted by parents and checked in at the Children’s Suite on the 2nd floor of Building C. Youth will meet in the Youth Center on the 2nd floor of Building C. Adults will gather in the Fellowship Hall of Building C. Facemasks (for age 2 and older) are required and we will practice social distancing. Don’t miss this opportunity to reconnect and get the new church year off to a great start.
Every Third Tuesday // 5:30PM
This women’s book study group meets the third Tuesday of every month to discuss books related to social issues in our neighborhood and around the world. Our goal is to increase awareness regarding obstacles and challenges faced by much of humanity and how we might respond as Christians. Our next meeting is on Tuesday, October 20, at 5:30 pm in the Green Room. The title of the book for October is “Caste” by Isabel Wilkerson. Please read the book in advance and come ready to discuss the book on October 20. Women are invited and encouraged to join this group for conversation and fellowship. We will wear facemasks and practice social distancing. Contact Rebecca Cooper at 843-368-6720 or Beth Haverfield at 404-395-7023 for additional information regarding this study and discussion group.
