Longest Night Service
The Longest Night Service will be on Thursday, December 21, at 6:00 pm in the Sanctuary. This is a time to remember the events of years past, especially losses that have occurred. The service will be a time of reflection for anyone who has experienced life-changing events, whether through death, loss of a relationship, loss of job, separation and divorce, loss of health, or other significant events.
Everyone is invited to place an offering of memories on the communion table before the service begins; these symbols of remembrance may be photos or any other items related to your loss. You can take your memory item with you after the service.
Certainly, the holidays can be a very difficult time when one is experiencing the pain of loss. This time of reflection and worship will offer a meaningful way of remembering your loss and honoring your grief process. Invite your family members and friends to join you for this time of worship. A reception will be held in the Green Room following the service.
